The Spar Group - Western Cape and Business Against Crime Western Cape (BACWC) feel strongly about NO Violence against Women and Children, the most vulnerable of our population, and who often are affected by violence in their homes.

Spar Western Cape has committed to upgrade all the existing Victim Friendly Rooms (VFRs) at the 150 SAPS stations in the Western Cape. The purpose hereof is to standardise all VFRs in the Province to give access to the same standard VFR whether you reside in an informal settlement or in an affluent suburb. Since the inception of this project to date 44 VFRs were upgraded and re-launched. Also to train VEP volunteers and to give victim support to staff and customers of Spar when traumatised by a crime.
